House Paint
As you are probably aware, we’ve been going back and forth about paint colors for the house. However, we had finally agreed we like Durango, by Benjamin Moore. So, now we have more input because my parents are here. They also agree on the Durango color, and helped us select some swatches for the trim. We now have a trim color we like, Copley Gray. And a color for under the eaves, Rockport Gray. We’re going to sample them on a side of the garage. We were trying to pick greens, but they were all too green…these colors are all leaning toward a brownish/green with a gray overtone. Remember, we have a dark red roof and mahogany house:

Great color combination! They really do all work nicely together:) It’s nice that you have your folks visiting to give extra input! I remember when I was trying to select colors for our living and kitchen, I’d ask anybody that stopped in what they thought, lol!

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the compliment. Of course, the computer doesn’t show the colors exactly as they are, but I’m really excited to begin the project. We asked many people, including my parents, and a graphic designer who has a great eye for color. I figure if myself, my husband, my parents, and a graphic designer all agree, then chances are much better that things will turn out good.
