Tada! Roman Blinds Installed
My parents are visiting this weekend from Nebraska. My mom is an amazing seamstress and made these Roman Blinds for our Kitchen. It took many hours to install them (it seriously required a lot of patience so I’m glad they were also here to install them, because my patience would not have lasted as long as theirs).
Here’s a picture of mom and dad putting in the first Roman Blind:

Here’s a picture of the entire set of five. I think they’re gorgeous and really make the entire kitchen:

My mom did an AMAZING job of matching the Roman Blinds to the kitchen tile, when all she had to go on were some web pictures and my descriptions:

You have a very talented mother! They look great and tie into the room so perfectly. May I borrow her for a week or so?

Wow, that’s nice. It looks fabulous, and your mom is really talented. Your kitchen is coming together quite nicely.

Thanks Shawni and Shauna! My mom thanks you too. She was happy to see the comments. She worked very hard on them and I am extremely appreciative. I could never have afforded such blinds… similar blinds with just a one color band around the edge through Pottery Barn are about $100 apiece!
I’m sooooo happy with the kitchen. It’s really great to be nearing the end. It’s a real sense of accomplishment, especially now that we can look back at our before photos. The peach kitchen is gone!! Hooray!
Thanks again guys, Laurie

Hey Laurie and Eric, I think the blinds look great! I can’t wait to come visit and see your whole house through my own eyes!! Please tell your Mom I think they look great!

Oh my gosh, Laurie, those blinds look fantastic! Your mom could put Pottery Barn out of business! Everyone is working so hard and it really shows. Your remodel is coming along so nicely (and so quickly!)…I can’t wait to see it all live and in person.
